LKS FUNDA Academy: The Summer Intensive
Welcome to the LKS FUNDA Academy—our dedicated summer programme designed to bridge the gap between school terms and the pre-season.
While our main academy focuses on long-term player growth, the FUNDA Academy is a 6-week intensive block focused on the Fundamentals: Technical mastery, high-intensity fitness, and game intelligence.
THE SEASON IS OVER. THE DEVELOPMENT DOESN’T STOP.
What to expect
We are taking over the Astro at Henwick Worthy for 90-minute sessions that move faster than standard training.
Technical Precision: Stripping back to the "FUNDAmentals"—passing accuracy, first touch under pressure, and ball speed.
Match Sharpness: High-tempo 4v4 and 6v6 scenarios to ensure players return to their clubs in September ahead of the pack.
Physical Conditioning: Hockey-specific fitness disguised as gameplay.
THE SCHEDULE
We are running on Wednesday Evenings from 19:00 – 20:30. To keep intensity high and allow for summer flexibility, we are training in specific 2-week blocks:
Block 1: 13th May & 20th May
Block 2: 3rd June & 10th June
Block 3: 24th June & 1st July
THE SQUADS (Mixed Gender)
Development Group (Ages 10–13): Focusing on core skills, confidence, and tactical basics.
Performance Group (Ages 13–16): Preparing for 1st team selection and advanced tactical play.
LOCATION
The Astro at Henwick Worthy Sports Ground, Thatcham.
