Hockey After-school club
Fun, friendly hockey clubs delivered directly to your child's school.
At LKS Active, we believe sport should be fun, inclusive and accessible to everyone. Our after-school hockey clubs are designed to help children develop confidence, learn new skills, stay active and most importantly, enjoy playing hockey with their friends.
Our experienced coaches create engaging sessions that focus on participation, teamwork and enjoyment. Whether your child is picking up a hockey stick for the first time or already loves the game, our clubs provide a welcoming environment where every child can develop at their own pace.
We currently deliver hockey clubs in both state and independent primary schools across Berkshire and the surrounding areas.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do your after-school clubs work?
Our clubs operate on a half-term basis. This means that each club runs for a block of sessions during a school half-term, typically around 5–7 weeks.
A new booking is required for each half-term, even if your child attended the previous block.
What equipment does my child need?
For all hockey clubs, children must bring:
Shin pads
A mouth guard
Sports/PE kit
We will provide hockey sticks, balls and all other equipment required for the sessions.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We understand that British weather can be unpredictable.
Where possible, we will work with the school to move sessions indoors and deliver an alternative sports or hockey-based activity so children can still enjoy an active session.
In the event that a session cannot safely take place either indoors or outdoors, we will communicate with parents as soon as possible regarding any alternative arrangements
What is your behaviour policy?
We want all children to enjoy a fun, safe and respectful environment.
To help achieve this, we operate a simple three-strike behaviour policy.
Strike One:
The child will receive a verbal reminder about expected behaviour and be given the opportunity to correct it.
Strike Two:
The child may be asked to sit out part of the session. Depending on the situation, parents may be informed.
Strike Three:
If behaviour issues continue over multiple sessions and significantly impact the enjoyment or safety of the club for others, we reserve the right to withdraw a child's place from the club.
This would normally only occur where behaviour concerns continue across more than one week despite previous interventions and communication with parents.
Please note that no refunds will be provided if a participant is removed from a club due to ongoing behaviour issues.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes.
A full refund can be provided if cancellation is requested at least 7 days before the first session of the club block.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations made after this point as staffing and planning commitments will already have been made.
Who delivers the sessions?
All sessions are delivered by experienced sports coaches who are appropriately qualified, DBS checked and committed to creating positive sporting experiences for young people.
