Led by a qualified coach and educator, we ensure every session blends rigorous technical execution with genuine tactical engagement.
What We Do
-
Partnering with Directors of Sport to deliver comprehensive co-curricular hockey provision. From managing extensive mixed-ability games sessions to leading high-performance academies, we align seamlessly with your school’s pastoral goals and sporting ambitions.
-
We run structured co-curricular sports clubs specialising in hockey and a wide range of other sports. Designed to seamlessly integrate with a school’s broader educational ethos, these sessions ensure pupils remain engaged, active, and continually developing fundamental athletic skills.
-
Seasonal hockey camps and term-time academies built for sustained athletic development. We provide a decision-rich environment where young players are challenged to refine their technical skills, build tactical awareness, and develop a lifelong passion for the game..
-
Partnering with local schools and community hockey clubs to deliver structured, high-quality coaching programmes. We focus on inspiring grassroots participation, developing fundamental skills, and raising the standard of community sport across Berkshire.
-
Equipping staff with the pedagogical tools to succeed. We deliver specialist INSET training, CPD workshops, and structured mentoring, empowering both specialist coaches and academic teaching staff to deliver outstanding sessions with complete confidence.
-
Personalised 1-to-1 and small group sessions designed to bridge the gap between technical execution and tactical intelligence. We help players master advanced skills, build spatial awareness, and deeply understand their role on the pitch.

Our Coaching Philosophy
We believe in three things:
Rigour & Engagement: Enjoyment is a byproduct of high-quality challenge. Every session is designed to stretch the player, ensuring their engagement translates into a genuine passion and respect for the sport.
The 'Holistic One' Methodology: We treat the pitch as an extension of the classroom. Sport must develop the individual's character, on-pitch leadership, and resilience, not just their athletic output.
Tactical Autonomy: We build decision-rich environments. Players learn best when they are not just running static drills, but are actively challenged to think critically, communicate effectively, and solve problems under pressure.
The LKS Active difference — sports provision that builds confidence, tactical intelligence, and resilient communities.
